After the sudden death of her father, San Francisco mediator Kate Reed must work with her stepmother, who’s the same age, to keep his firm alive by resolving a dispute between a clothing magnate and his son, who’s due to inherit the business, and hiding a dark personal secret which could ruin an innocent boy’s life.

Episode 2 - Priceless

Kate’s latest mediation case involves the State of California and Steve Jenks who was wrongfully convicted and spent twenty-two years in prison. Kate’s object is to help them reach a settlement by putting a price on the years Steve lost in prison.

Once again Judge Nicastro assigns Kate to mediate one of his cases. This one involves angry parents and a high school football coach’s actions. Confused by the videotaped evidence, Kate seeks to find the real reason behind the coach’s highly disputed training methods.
